Derfen™ Clear Lotion is the Derfen™ formula suitable for thick, thickened or "cardboardy" skin.
Indicated for the least supple skin, Derfen™ Clear Lotion is composed of ultra soothing and considerably moisturizing oils. This specific oily complex aims to deeply penetrate the thickest skin requiring a particular need for hydration to fight against aggression and soften.
Instructions
SUMMER ITCHING
Apply derfen Clear at the base of the mane or tail directly to the skin and massage lightly. Wait for your horse to re-moisten before reapplying. This will tell you how much time between applications your horse needs (between 4 and 10 days depending on the individual)
WINTER ITCHING
No "summer" dermatitis during winter! If a winter thaw can make us think that insects are responsible for scratching, this is not the case. There are several reasons to be considered in each case: phthisis (lice), a dietary problem (deficiency, excess, imbalance), a gastric problem (pain, ulcer), a contact allergy (blanket...), a medicinal reaction, a change leading to stress... Derfen clear will help to calm the itching each time, it will act on the symptoms but it is essential to try to treat the cause.
LICE
Lice infestations are very common in autumn, winter and even spring and cause intense scratching. The affected areas can be the head, the mane, the tail but also the limbs. Not always very visible to the naked eye because of the horse hair, lice often cause sudden itching, without apparent reason. In this case, contact your veterinarian for an adapted treatment. Derfen clear will soothe the itching but will not "slip" onto all areas of the body.

Je n'arrive pas à savoir si je dois prendre du Clear ou de l'original.
Vérifiez bien à l'aide des photos de la page l'épaisseur de la peau à l'encolure. Si vous n'arrivez pas à déterminer l'épaisseur, il est possible que votre cheval soit "entre deux". Dans ce cas là, contactez nous sur contact@animaderm.com, nous vous enverrons des échantillons de chaque pour que vous puissiez tester et voir celui qui convient le mieux.
Derfly comme une lotion anti dermite est aussi une alternative.
Puis-je appliquer derfen Clear sur une jument gestante ?
Il n'y a, à notre connaissance, pas de contre indication particulière pour cette utilisation (évitez cependant les applications trop répétées et les trop grandes quantités) En général, nous préférons suspendre tout soin pendant cette période et privilégier les bases neutres comme Natjely ou shampoo Tea Tree. L'utilisation de derfly, comme anti-moucherons est également très approprié.
QUELLE EST LA FRÉQUENCE D'APPLICATION DU DERFEN CLEAR ?
"A la demande". En clair, à chaque reprise des grattages. Rapidement, l'espacement entre les grattages va être plus ou moins le même. Vous saurez donc la fréquence d'application nécessaire à votre cheval. Par principe, n'en mettez pas tous les jours. Si les démangeaisons sont trop fréquentes et nécessitent une application par jour, c'est que le problème est tout autre. Nous vous invitons à nous contacter pour vous conseiller au mieux
Puis-je alterner derfen clear et derfly ?
Bien sûr ! Vous pouvez alterner derfen et derfly sans problème. Vous pouvez également appliquer le derfen (toujours sur la peau, entre les crins) si les démangeaisons apparaissent et mettre un peu de derfly sur le haut des crins pour éloigner les insectes piqueurs. Le duo fonctionne à merveille.
